Why I started blogging? Well, it has a little story to it. Bhaskar, a dear family friend, who is more like a kid brother and a computer whiz (has a PHD, no less), had been egging me on to start a blog for almost 4 years now. I even started once but could not make any sense of it. That I would write personal stuff about myself, and that people would actually be interested in reading it, was totally beyond me. Also, though I am a social birdie, but don’t like talking about myself much. I can make friends very easily, but share my complete self with very few. It’s a complete paradox. I was happy with Facebook, and my other work and social commitments. The whole concept of blogging somehow escaped me.
Then, about three months back, three things happened at the same time. One, I was constantly on the net, trying to find information on myriad of things that concerns any new homeowner, and found interesting blogs that had a world of information. Second, while I was sending a recipe to Bhaskar one day, he suggested that I should share them in a blog. Third, at the same time, I stumbled upon Amy Lyn Andrews blog. In a space of two days the whole concept of blogging clicked. Just like that. I sat down, did a quick research on hosting sites, read a few other equally wonderful blogs, spoke with Bhaskar, and decided that I wanted to do it. This time, I would do it exactly the way I wanted it. The Lady 8 Home was born. The rest is history in making ;p
