Piri Piri slow cooked chicken

Lately, I have been enthralled with two blogs. Partly because I have been experimenting with different ways tp present the same ingredients to satiate the increasingly diverse palate of my foodie family, and partly because I am amazed at the efficiency of ingredients, presentation and beauty they bring to their food.

Their dishes have inspired me to be a bit more adventurous and try out sauces that I wasn’t previously sure what to do with.

Presenting Piri Piri slow cooked chicken. Succulent, delicious, they melt in mouth. You can put it in for cooking and go to work. I did.

Piri Piri slow cooked chicken

Ingredients
  • Chicken drumsticks 6
  • Piri Piri Sauce - ½ cup
  • Red Chilli paste - 1 tbs (optional)
  • 1 tsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp capers
  • 3 tbs brown sugar
  • garlic powder - a pinch
  • 2 tsp parsley finely chopped
Instructions
  1. Marinate the drumsticks with all the ingredients.
  2. Keep it for one hour to overnight.
  3. Put it in slow cooker and cook it on low for 5 hours.
  4. Serve with sliced avocados and red onions.
